For dinner tomorrow:

Steak. I marinaded the steak and it's sitting in the fridge as we speak, taking the marinade in (I hope). I also hope it's delicious and not horrible (obviously).

It's never much fun to ruin a steak.

In other non-food related items: I went for a 4 mile walk today (and on Sunday)! I love walking so I think this is going to be my new mode of exercise for the time being. Maybe I'll get back into running once it gets nicer out.

Oh, also: WHAT?!

Related (but I can't tell which is worse): DOUBLE WHAT?!

Oh the internet. You harbor so many treasures.

And finally (!!!) I really hope my migraine is completely gone by tomorrow. Two days is quite enough thank you.

Today was a pretty good day. Minus I almost passed out this morning like as soon as I got to work. Maybe it's because I was reading a really bloody, graphic part of the manuscript I was working on?

Man, I really am a pansy.

Either way. Mental image: Me, dressed up for work. Lying on the floor in my cubicle with my upper body under the desk.

They probably thought I was dead or something. I mean, it really probably looked like it. But Kate was wonderful and got me some water and gave me a handful of her Hershey's Kissables.

Nothing like chocolate to bring your blood sugar up.

My mom sent me a flower cake at work. It's beautiful (and also a big hit with the rest of the office)!

I still can't believe I am almost 21. I keep forgetting. AND Disney World is coming up. (!!!)

Book treasures of the day: The Graduate by Charles Webb, Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe, and the books from the Mortal Instruments series.

Man, I love this job.

I also just saw my roommate Katy completely naked. Eesh, that was unpleasant.

When I Bring my Glitterlimes to the Party People Freak Out!

So my summer at the Journal has been really amazing so far. I thoroughly enjoy the time I spend there doing all sorts of odds and ends, projects, etc. But my favorite thing so far has been the random things that we laugh about and share with each other.

Like this!

Mairead e-mailed this to me in response to a bag of dried Persimmons Rupal and I left for her on her desk. I had typed up a whole bunch of workshop pieces for her, and at the end of the e-mail to which they were attached, I told her to "watch out for those persimmons."

I found this website absolutely hilarious. The fact that anyone would pay $70 for a glitter keylime bracelet is beyond me, but if they have the money for that kind of thing...more power to them. Take a look at the glitter persimmons if you have no idea what they actually look like. They're actually kind of pretty. The picture of the guy modeling the glitter persimmons pin, however...kind of a creepster. I'm just sayin'...

I did, however, find the rings to be cute, as well as the bobby pins. But I don't think I am willing to fork over money for some dried up fruit with glitter on it.

...in fact, I may be able to make something like that myself. I will have to look into it. Possibly project?
